SATURDAY, September 29, 2012 (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm)
LGLA is very excited to invite you to the annual Rand Schrader Law Student Reception on the evening of September 29, 2012. Always well-attended, the Rand Schrader Reception is the first in a series of LGLA’s annual events geared toward law students, our members and friends. This event is the perfect opportunity to connect with other LGBT law students and attorneys in the area, reconnect with classmates and friends after a summer away, and meet LGLA’s board and general members, who are dedicated to helping you achieve your career goals and build a strong LGBT legal community in Los Angeles.
The Reception is also a fantastic opportunity to meet or reconnect with your LGLA Mentor. The LGLA Mentorship Program connects LGBT law students with volunteer licensed LGBT attorneys to provide career guidance in a wide range of practice areas, and in navigating the opportunities (and stress!) of law school. Although offered on an ongoing basis throughout the year, law students should sign up at the beginning of the academic year. See the linked sign-up form and return it as soon as possible to LGLAmentor@gmail.com so you can be paired with a mentor in advance of the Rand Schrader Reception!
Dinner is catered by Back To The Kitchen, including hors d`oeuvres, a delicious supper, and wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, at the home of the Honorable Zeke Zeidler and Honorable Jay Kohorn.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship by the David Bohnett Foundation, LGLA is pleased to announce that it will once again be able to provide free admission to Law Students!
This annual event is always very popular, so RSVP early before it is sold-out!
