2007: NLGLA Year in Review

In 2007, the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association:

• Organized the only national LGBT legal career fair - the largest in our history - with over 500 LGBT students and 150 recruiters in attendance.

• Coordinated our annual CLE conference, containing 30 workshops facilitated by over 100 speakers, with the best attendance in our history.

• Published an online listing of our career fair recruiters, including detailed information on internal policies and benefits affecting LGBT practitioners - the only list of its kind.

• Presented topics and workshops at diversity conferences, CLE conferences and training sessions, including the National Association for Law Placement's and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's annual conferences.

• Provided diversity expertise and research to the media, bar associations, private law firms, and nonprofits.

• Hosted the first-ever reception for "out" in-house counsel.

• Celebrated the addition of our 25th Affiliate within our network of local, regional or state voluntary LGBT bar associations.
