Mid-Year Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee

The LGBT Family Law Institute will be hosting a mid-year meeting for the first time this spring!

The meeting will be held from March 9-10, 2013 at Bass, Berry & Sims’ offices in downtown Nashville. The participant list will be restricted to 35 people and only applications from attorneys who practice in that section of the country will be accepted in order to bolster the Institute’s strength in the Southeast.

The governance committee is looking for participants from Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Mississippi and Alabama to participate in the Family Law Institute’s first regional meeting.

All meetings are off the record and closed in order to promote the free expression of ideas and issues. Meetings are interactive and audience driven.

To guarantee that the discourse remains at a high level, and to ensure that all participants are able to contribute meaningfully to the conversation, interested parties must submit an application.

Applicants will be selected based on their experience with LGBT family creation, protection and dissolution. Applicants should have familiarity with these issues and may be asked to provide evidence describing their familiarity with LGBT family law.
